The Move-In Cost (MIC) is a total of fees you need to pay to Poplar Homes before you can move into your new rental home.

The MIC can include the Prorated Rent, Security Deposit, Pet Deposit, HOA fees, and others.

The MIC will only be available for active applications on Poplar Homes. Active Applications are applications under processing, regardless if they have documents or not.

On the other hand, Inactive Applications are applications that have been canceled by the renter or disapproved by Poplar Homes.

When you get pre-approved for a rental property, you will see its move-in cost on your Resident Dashboard.

Here’s how to view a property’s MIC:

  1. Log in to your Poplar Resident Dashboard.

  2. Click/tap the Applications drop-down menu and choose View Move-In Cost.

  3. Here you can see the Address, Move-In Date, and the Move-In Cost Summary.

  4. You can still change the Move-In Date if you’re not approved yet. Once you are approved, the Move-In Date will be final. If you can’t commit to the final date, call our Leasing Coordinator at 628-269-3227.
